13 stitches

X6+3

Row 1: B2,k3*yo,sl-k2tog-psso,yo,k3*,B2.
Row 2: B2,p2,*p2tog,yo,p1,yo,p2tog,p1* end p2,B2.
Row 3: B2,k1,k2tog,yo*k3,yo,sl1-k2tog-psso,yo* end sl1,k1-psso,p1, B2.
Row 4: B2,p2,*yo,p2tog,p1,p2tog,yo,p1* end yo,p2,B2.

Repeat Rows 1-4 for pattern.

Cast on and knit Border for 1/2" or 2 ridges of garter stitch on each
side. Begin pattern and knit till border distance away from desired
length. End on an odd row, knit border. Bind off and weave in ends. Block if desired.
