WEAVING PATTERN

Designed for Peaches And Creme Yarns

By Cindy Long

Finished Dimensions approx. 18 x 26 after hemming.

This pattern is calculated for four towels.

These pieces are woven on a 15 DPI reed.

Due to the face that they are woven in an overshot pattern you will be uing two shuttles.

The warp is White size 10 Crochet Thread.  Article 74-C 320 threads 6 yards long = 1920 yards.

The weft is approximately 75 yards of Article 960 in the color of your choice and approximately 600 yards of Article 74-C for the tabby in the border and the body of towel.

To begin the towel weave 4" of White in the plain weave using the tabby treadles of the pattern.  Hem the Edge.  This provides an allowance for turning under a hem.

Weave the border of the towel following the pattern below.

Return to the tabby treadles for the balance of the piece remembering to leave an allowance for the final hemming process.

This section will be approximately 23" long.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The edges of the towel must be hemmed while on the loom.  A second hem will be added on each end as the edge is turned under for completion of the project.

Due to the fact that these pieces are hemmed the spacing between them on the loom is only 6-8"

Begin  the second towel following the intructions above.
