This pattern features cloths, towels, back scrubber and placemat
instructions.
 

You can knit this ensemble using scrap yarns of worsted for
stripes or add in the Article 2001 Dazzling to create stripes.

Supplies:
1 Skein Peaches & Cream, Worsted Yarn (2 skeins per placemat)
1 Skein each Color Desired Article 2001 Dazzling
Sample shown uses: 447 Baby Pink, 403 Cream, 423 Baby Blue,
433 Light Lavender
1 Pair Size 7 (US) Needles Single and Double Point
Double Point is used for I-cord on Back scrubber
Tapestry Needle

Pattern:
x8+1
Row 1-8: B4,*moss stitch see notes*,B4.
Row 9: (RS) B4 *p*.B4.
Row 10: B4,*k1,yo,sl1-k1-psso,k3,k2tog,yo*k1,B4.
Row 11: Same as Row 9.
Row 12: B4,*k2,yo,sl1-k1-psso,k1,k2tog,yo,k1*k1,B4.
Row 13: Same as Row 9.
Row 14: B4,*k3,yo,sl1-k2tog-psso,yo,k2*,k1,B4.
Repeat Rows 1-14 for pattern.
Pattern Sections:
Rows 1-8 are moss stitch
Rows 9-14 are the vandyke stitch eyelet zig zag
Each section can be knitted in a different color if so desired.
Sample was knitted with white and Article 2001 held together and knitted, switching colors every segment and dropping Article 2001 for border.

Moss Stitch for this pattern:
x2+1 stitches
Row 1:*k1,p1* end k1
Row 2: Same as Row 1.

Cloths Cast On:
Small Cloth: 25 stitches
Medium Cloth: 33 stitches
Large Coth: 41 or 49 stitches
Cast on and knit 1" border. Begin Pattern and knit till border distance away from desired size, ending on Row 7, then knit border. Bind off and weave in ends.

Back Scrubber: 17 stitches
Cast on and knit 1" border. Begin Pattern and knit 16-18" ending on Row 7, then knit border. Bind off all but 3 stitches (including the one on the rn) slide stitches onto
double point needles, then knit an I-Cord for 9". Bind off and attach to other side for handle. Cast on 3 stitches, knit a 9" I-cord then bind off. Sew handle to cast on
end. Weave in ends.
 

Place Mat: 73 stitches.
Cast on and knit 1" border. Begin Pattern and knit till border distance away from desired height of place mat, ending on Row 7, then knit border. Bind off and weave
in ends.
