Crocheted Ridges Dishcloth

This pattern produces a dense, reversible cloth with a lot of texture. The perfect thing to tackle a sink-full of dirty dishes.
Materials:
1-2oz ball Peaches and Crème worsted weight (sample is made with color #175 Fiesta Ombre)
H (5.0mm) hook, or the hook you prefer for a worsted weight yarn.
yarn needle for hiding ends
Gauge:
gauge is not terribly important, however the sample cloth used a full 2oz ball of yarn for an 8.5" square cloth. If your cloth is coming out much wider than that, and you don’t want to use yarn from another ball to complete it you may want to switch to a smaller hook.
Special Stitches:
BDDC- (back dropped double crochet)- always worked over a chain 1 space. Bring your hook to the back of your work, and work a double crochet into the back loop of the stitch directly below the chain 1 space. The chain 1 is left untouched.
FDDC- (fornt dropped double crochet)- always worked over a chain 1 space. Bring your hook to the front of your work. Work a double crochet into the front loop of the stitch directly below the chain 1 space. The chain 1 is left untouched.
Other Stitches Used:
Ch- chain
SC- single crochet
Special Note:
size of cloth can be adjusted by adding or subtracting stitches in multiples of 4, so you can easily customize the size of your cloth and/or make matching dish towels and place-mats.
