RIB-KNITTED MINI DRESS WITH WIDE STRAPS

Materials: Peaches & Crème, 100% cotton, 4-plY; 6(6,7,7) 2 1/2 oz. balls. Color #47 Baby Pink.

stitches: Knit 2, purl 2.

Needles: One pair #8 strait knitting needles, D3.25

crochet hook.

Gauge: 14 sts and 22 rows=4"

Finished size: S(M,L,XL)

Chest: 33(38,40,42)"

Length: 30(32 1/2,34,36)"

Directions:

At start, leave long tail of yarn which will be used

for crocheting the Back and the Front pieces together.

Cast on 58(66,70,74) sts. Work rib pattern k2 p2.

Work 25 ( 27 1/4 ,29,31 )" .

Shape armholes: decrease 4sts at each end  1X, then decrease

2sts at each end 1X. 46(54,58,62) sts are on the needle.

The armhole shaping is done.

Work 14 rows (2 1/2)".

Shape neck opening and straps: knit 7(11,13,15) sts. Bind off 32 sts in the middle for all sizes. Take another strand of yarn for the right strap, in this way, you can knit both shoulder straps at the same time. Continue to knit the straps 22 rows (4)". Cast on in the middle 32

sts and join together with the two straps.

Back:

work 14 rows (2 1/2)". Increase underarm 2 sts on both

ends 1X. Increase 4 sts on both ends 1X. The armholes

shaping on the Back are done. Knit the length of the Back

the same 25(27 1/4,29,31)" from the end of the armholes shaping

as the Front. Bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Crochet together the sides of the garment.

Note: This dress is knitted in one piece. start. to knit the

dress at the bottom of the Front, and continue the knitting

through the shoulder, and finish the knitting at the

bottom of the Back.
