1 skein Ruby Mills- Honeysuckle 6/3 cotton Article 950  ( 100% Cotton 3 ply baby fashion weight)

Needles:

1 Pair Single Point or 1 Pair Double point needles size 5 (US)

 Crochet hook or tapestry needle

 Scissors

 Pearl:  Darice® Jewelry Designer # 04718 11 x23 mm Drop with cap  

 Available at local craft stores.

 Optional:  Spray Starch

 Abbreviations:   B2= Border Stitches in Garter

 Cast on:  11 stitches

Knit 4 rows of garter stitch, begin pattern.

Pattern:

 x6+1

Row 1 (RS): B2,knit,B2.

Row 2: B2, purl, B2.

Row 3: B2, knit, B2.

Row 4: B2, knit, B2.

Row 5: B2, *k2tog,yo*end k1.B2.  

Row 6: B2, knit, B2.

Repeat these 6 rows till 1 " from desired length, ending on row 6.

Row 7: B2,ssk,sl1-k2tog-psso,k2tog,B2.

Row 8: B2, purl, B2.

Row 9: B2, sl1-k2tog-psso-,B2.

Row 10: B2, purl, B2.

Row 11: Ssk, sl1-k2tog-psso.k2tog.

Row 12: sl1-k2tog-psso.

Weave in ends. Add tassel. Starch and block piece.

Tassel:

To make tassel:   Wind thread around a credit card narrow width. Wrap thread until desired thickness. Cut two threads about 6" and 10". Thread the 6"  piece at the top of the tassel and insert it under the thread and tie at the top, secure with a knot. With second piece, secure the tassel by wrapping the thread around, tie in knot. Trim tassel bottom.
